KATHY G. BENSON graduated from the University of Connecticut at Storrs magma cum laude with a major in English and minors in education and sociology. Kathy has held various management positions during her extensive career, including Aetna Life & Casualty, Travelers Insurance Company, Northeast Utilities Company, Connecticut General Insurance Company (later CIGNA) Storage Technology Corporation, Programming Resources Company, and finally Synercom, where she was promoted to General Manager of the company. She continued there until the company was acquired and then left to start her own company, called Prosource.

As Founder and Principal of Prosource she oversaw three divisions including software product development, marketing, and financial management. In 1999 she relocated to Houston TX and from that point on conducting numerous consulting assignments for a broad base of clients. 

Kathy's experience encompasses a broad spectrum including development of training programs in the insurance industry for up to 5000 employees. She also has extensive experience in the evaluation, selection, introduction, and on-going support of various new hardware and software technologies.

Kathy frequently attended classes at IBM and other computer hardware/software companies and has been a frequent attendee at industry conferences. She has extensive experience researching, recommending, and developing new technologies, methods, and standards to help keep her employers competitive in rapidly changing marketplaces.
